Coke- A Killing Agent?

Hey kids! We meet again! I just had a glass of Coke. Jealous, huh? Well, after I tell you what coke really is, you might think twice before being jealous of someone with a bottle of Coke. Or maybe you even will be thankful that you don’t drink it anymore.
Now kids, this isn’t any “Anti-Cola Program” or something like that. It just a friendly piece of advice for anyone who would like to hear it… I mean read it. Or even get it. So get ready, kids!!!!
Cola is a carbonated beverage that contains caffeine. (Surprise, Surprise!)  At first, this originally contained caffeine from the kola nut and cocaine from coca leaves, and was flavored with vanilla and other ingredients. But now, it’s a whole lot different. Most colas now use other flavoring and caffeinating ingredients with a similar taste and no longer contain cocaine. Which I think is huge relief. We all are somehow or the other “Addicted” to cola. Any type. Think of being a drug addict! Whoa!!!!
It became popular worldwide after pharmacist John Pemberton invented Coca-Cola in 1886. Credit goes to him of course! His non-alcoholic recipe was inspired by the Coca wine of pharmacist Angelo, created in 1863 and it still contained cocaine. Some think that the major reason to invent Cola was to stop intense drug addiction of Shisha and Alcohol. But I think now-a-days it is an addiction itself.
Coca-Cola is a major international brand. It usually contains caramel, caffeine and sweeteners such as sugar or high fructose corn syrup.
A 2007 study found that consumption of colas, both those with natural sweetening and those with artificial sweetening, was associated with increased risk of chronic kidney disease. The phosphoric acid used in colas was thought to be a possible cause. Yikes! You wouldn’t want that would you? Where you going, there’s more to know.
Drinking one glass of Coke, mind you, ONE GLASS of Coke means having calories equal to 8 TABLESPOONS of SUGAR. Hear that? I mean, Read that? So kids, girls especially, remember that if you want to have a glass of Coke, then don’t eat anything calorious or you might suffer from early chubbiness.
Secondly, Coke damages your teeth very badly. It stripes of all the enamel gradually and finally you are left with what you these days call “Sudden Sensitive Teeth”. Remember, that teeth are never “suddenly” sensitive. Either you have them from the birth or you make them sensitive by drinking Coke.
Phosphoric Acid in Coke and Diet Coke has been shown to destroy bones by contributing to osteoporosis and destroying bones as we have discussed before. Aspartame, now known as Amino Sweet, has been inked to numerous diseases and health problems. In addition, there are food dyes and other chemical additives in Coke products that are known carcinogens. You wouldn’t want to drink colors, would you? Due to the mass marketing and consumption of Coke products, millions are addicted to these products due to the caffeine, sugar and aspartame.
In America, Coke is mostly prohibited among children under 16. However, in other countries which are not so highly informed about the side effects of Coke let their children drink as much Coke as they want to. Mostly, I mean. Some still are forbidden to drink any Black Drink at all. (Me includedL)
It is not totally the parent’s fault that their children are having access Coke. The companies, they advertise their products in such a manner that not only children, but adults too, can’t just simply resist having a glass or two of Coke.
Don’t just think that Coke is only hazardous to health or something. Believe me or not Coke has caused deaths. And… it won’t be any wonder if you end up the same way, God Forbid, of-course, if you start being a Coke addict from your childhood.
Just like it happened in New Zealand. Natasha Harris, a 31 year old woman, who died on 25 February 2010 Cardiac Arrhythmia.
A Doctor said that drinking 2.6 gallons of Coke per day was a substantial factor in her death. The sugar and caffeine was the possible reason.
So, kids, if you want to remain hit and fit for your whole life, for God’s sake, stop drinking that drink.

So long!
